Andre Silva makes AC Milan happy

AC Milan are hoping in Andre Silva’s growth to facilitate the swap with Ante Rebic. Both players are currently on loan.

Andre Silva just like Ante Rebic. The Portuguese striker scored his seventh goal with Eintracht Frankfurt tonight, equalizing the number of goals scored by the Croatian winger.

The Portuguese striker, after a fantastic start to the season with 3 goals in the first 4 matches, lost momentum due to a not excellent physical condition. In February, however, the light seems to have returned and the former Porto has started to score regularly again. First in the German Cup, against Red Bull Leipzig, then in Bundesliga with Augsburg finally tonight in Europa League.

Eintracht Frankfurt draw 2-2 with Red Bull Salzburg but proceed in the next round thanks to their 4-1 win in the first leg. Eintracht’s 2 goals were scored by the AC Milan striker. The Portuguese first exploited a fine cross from Kostic and then doubled the result with a shot from the edge of the box.

Silva’s tally this season with Eintracht Frankfurt has reached to seven goals but, unlike Rebic who has only one assist to his name, Silva has assisted 4 goals. Milan hope that the Portuguese talent will not stop, continuing to give his contribution for the Germans. Only in this way can AC Milan close his sale.

In the last days of the summer transfer window AC Milan and Eintracht Frankfurt swapped Andre Silva with Ante Rebic on loan for two years. Both players were valued at €25 million but neither club has the right or obligation to sign the players. AC Milan and Eintracht Frankfurt are expected to resume talks in the summer.
